Franz Pöhacker ...
Franz Pöhacker was born in 1927 in Graz and moved to Hall in Tirol in 1932 with his family. He attended the art school in Innsbruck. After the difficulties of the 2nd world war he was able to finish his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna in the master classes of Prof. Fritz Wotruba and Herbert Boeckl. He received numerous awards and medals. Franz Pöhacker is the "Grand Seigneur" of the tyrolean scupturs. He passed away in April 2021 at the age of 94, working until the end and leaving behind a wonderful life's artwork.
