Advent Season in Hall-Wattens: Christmas Magic & Winter Experiences

The market is intentionally kept traditional: regional handicrafts, Tyrolean delicacies, and a heartwarming entertainment program make it a place where the Advent season can still be experienced in its most authentic form. Advent Market Opening Hours (November 21 – December 24, 2025):

Monday to Friday: 3 PM – 8 PM

Saturday: from 11 AM

Sunday: 1 PM – 8 PM

Food & drink stalls: open until 9 PM daily

Christmas Eve (Dec 24): market closes at 1 PM to allow everyone to head home in time for the festivities.

An evening stroll through the illuminated alleys brings the town's historic architecture to life in a warm, festive glow. A special highlight is the “Anklöpfeln” tradition, where musicians and singers go from house to house on Advent evenings, spreading the message of Christmas. In addition, regular organ music at St. Nicholas Parish Church invites visitors to pause and reflect, and lovingly crafted nativity scenes depict rural Tyrolean life.

Culinary Delights in Hall

Beyond mulled wine and Kiachl, you’ll find doughnuts, roasted chestnuts, sausages, and regional specialties like Tyrolean bacon and cheese – perfect for a tasty break between market strolls.

The program is rounded off with Rauhnacht tours (a local mystical tradition), horse-drawn carriage rides, children’s Advent tours, and guided stargazing walks – making the pre-Christmas season in Hall an unforgettable experience.
