Refreshing Summer Escapes Around Hall
When summer days in Tyrol get really hot, there is hardly anything better than taking a refreshing break by the water. Whether for a few relaxing hours or a full day of swimming, there are plenty of places around Hall where you can cool off and truly enjoy summer.
Here are some spots we always love to recommend:
Haller Outdoor Swimming Pool – versatile & relaxed
The Haller outdoor swimming pool is one of those places where everyone finds something to enjoy. After its renovation, it now feels open, modern, and still pleasantly cosy.
While some swim laps in the 50-metre pool, others simply enjoy the sun on the spacious lawn or relax on the loungers. For those seeking a bit more excitement, the diving tower offers jumps from 1 to 10 metres.
It’s also perfect for families: a children’s pool, slides, and plenty of space to play ensure there is never a dull moment. And when you get hungry, the restaurant with its sun terrace is perfect for a relaxed break.
Extra for our guests: With the guest card, you get 50% discount on admission.
Alpenschwimmbad Wattens – uncomplicated & family-friendly
The Alpenschwimmbad Wattens is ideal for anyone looking for a relaxed swimming day without too much hustle and bustle.
Its combination of several pools, pleasantly tempered water, and large sunbathing areas makes it a real feel-good place. Families especially appreciate the adventure children’s pool with a slide and the many activities around – from playing to sports.
Good to know: With the guest card, entry is even free.
Baggersee Innsbruck – a day like a holiday
A day at the Baggersee quickly feels like a little vacation. The mix of natural surroundings and leisure activities makes it especially versatile.
Whether you want to relax by the water, jump into the cool lake, or be active – everything is possible here. The spacious lawns, bathing islands, and various access points to the water ensure everyone finds their favourite spot.
Families also feel at home, thanks to many playgrounds and shallow areas for children.
Lanser See – calm, natural & special
If you prefer something quieter, you will love Lanser See. Nestled in nature above Innsbruck, it is the perfect place to unwind.
As a moor lake, it has a very unique quality – the water is pleasantly soft and is often described as especially soothing. The atmosphere is calm, almost meditative, which makes this place truly special.
Tip: From Friday to Sunday, the Koi Bar is open – perfect for a relaxed drink right by the water.
Lake Achensee
If you feel like a special day trip, a visit to Lake Achensee is absolutely worth it. About 30–40 minutes from Hall, you’ll find turquoise-blue water that almost resembles the sea – framed by an impressive mountain landscape.
Lake Achensee is ideal for those who want more than just swimming: whether it’s a refreshing dip, a walk along the shore, or a boat trip – everything here feels like a holiday within a holiday.
Families will find lovely swimming areas and shallow entry points, while active visitors can enjoy stand-up paddling and other water sports.
