Top 5 in May

For me, May feels a little like a fresh start every year. Nature around Hall is at its most beautiful, the days are getting longer, and suddenly you feel drawn outside again. If you’re staying with us at the Badl in May, there are a few things I’d especially love to recommend to you:

Stroll through the Hall Farmers’ Market

A Saturday morning in Hall is best started slowly and relaxed – with a walk through the old town and a visit to the local farmers’ market. Here you’ll find fresh vegetables, homemade delicacies, and authentic Tyrolean specialties. I love taking my time browsing the stalls, chatting with the local vendors, and then enjoying a coffee in the sunshine afterwards.

Yoga at the Hofratsgarten

Tuesday morning, the sun is shining, and you’re rolling out your yoga mat surrounded by greenery – sounds pretty perfect, doesn’t it? Yoga at the Hofratsgarten is one of those small holiday moments you don’t really plan for, but simply enjoy. The perfect way to start the day slowly, breathe deeply, and fully arrive in the moment.

Spring Hike at the Patscherkofel

May is the perfect time for the first longer hikes of the season: the temperatures are still pleasantly cool, the air is crisp, and nature is in full bloom. The Patscherkofel is ideal for this – with gentle trails, wide-open views, and that special sense of calm you only find in the mountains. Perfect for spending either half a day or a full day outdoors.

A special highlight in spring are the evening rides on the Patscherkofel cable car. As the sun slowly sets and the light becomes softer, the mountain takes on a completely different atmosphere. The cable car brings you comfortably to the top, where you can end the day with a drink or a relaxed walk – almost like a little holiday within your holiday.

To the Walderalm by E-Bike

As soon as the Walderalm opens for the season, this tour becomes one of my absolute favourites. Riding gently uphill through the forest on an e-bike, taking little breaks along the way to pause and breathe in the fresh mountain air – and at the top, the reward is waiting: stunning views and a delicious traditional Tyrolean snack.

Experience the Haller Stattfest

When the Stattfest takes place on May 22nd and 23rd, there’s a very special atmosphere in the air. Music, delicious food, and people simply enjoying the moment together. The old town turns into one big stage – and you immediately understand what makes Hall such a special place.
